A Social Gal's Top 5: Home Decor Shops

Right now, we are preparing for our move and let me tell you, the urge to buy all new home decor is so strong. We have certainly done our fair share of buying decor in anticipation of our new space. But, we have tried our best to do so on a budget. That is why this week’s A Social Gal’s Top 5: Home Decor Shops is going to tell you what places we have found to have the best items at the best price points!

1. HomeGoods

HomeGoods is a home decor dream come true y’all! Not only do they have excellent prices, but the items are also great styles. Each HomeGoods is different and you never know what you may find. It is definitely worth the look around to see what goodies you see! Here are just a few items we have found there so far and the price point in which they were just to show you how good the deals can be.

  • Rachel Zoe 3 piece comforter set ($60)
  • Designer height adjustable desk ($150)
  • Matching stool/chair ($50)
  • Rachel Zoe fringe lamp ($40)
  • Office organization supplies (less than $10 each)

2. Home Depot

Home Depot is a place that I never thought I would like to go to. DIY is over my head and even though I do still find myself over-whelmed once inside, I have become a huge fan! As you probably know, one of the best things about Home Depot is that you can literally find anything you are looking for pertaining to a home improvement project. Another thing you can most definitely find in Home Depot is an inspiration. There is no doubt that you can and will find things you were both looking for and not looking for.

Another perk of Home Depot which I recently discovered is how great their garden section is. They have an entire area dedicated to houseplants and for cheap. So if you are looking to add a little green to your space, check out Home Depot for a great variety. You are sure to save versus buying at your local garden center and the quality is quite great!

3. Target

I am sure you knew Target would be on this list. It has to. Target is a home decor mecca and this section of the store seems to continue to grow. Target has a little bit of everything when it comes to home decor. If you are looking to spruce up your space, you are bound to find something fun and on-trend at your local Target. They tend to carry bold prints, bright colors and trendy styles like you will see in the home mags. And they have the Joanna Gaines collection, need I say more?

4. Amazon

You are probably going to shake your head at this, but I had NO clue that Amazon had such a market for home decor. Of course, I knew they carried everything under the sun but I failed to realize that much of what I was looking at in other stores could be ordered for even less from Amazon. To be honest, we have gone a little crazy with our Amazon ordering but we are thrilled with all our buys so far and know they will be exactly what we were looking for in our new space. Here are a few items I was surprised to find and love from Amazon:

  • Bright and bold pillowcase covers
  • Large overstuffed throw pillows
  • Trendy 6 tier bookshelf
  • Clear cosmetic organizer display
  • Glass laptop stand
  • Large cloth storage bins

5. Kirkland’s

Kirkland’s is a store that I want to explore much more. However, they deserve to make the home decor list for one big reason. They supplied me with my dream mirror. It has been ages since I stepped foot in the store but while perusing online for an over-sized mirror (I am talking over 6 feet tall), Kirkland’s popped up. Not only did they have a lot of decor to choose from, but they also are continually doing sales. I scored 20% off and was picking the humongous thing up only a few days later. If you are looking for a good deal or some specific items, do not overlook Kirkland’s and all they have to offer.

Decor Done Right

A Social Gal’s Top 5: Home Decor Shops really could be a lot longer. There are so many great places to find high-quality and well-priced items for the home.
